One is to guide the client along their technology journey. The other is to act as a conduit of information between the client and the different XPERTECHS teams that support the organization’s IT systems. This makes Client Technology Advisors indispensable in ensuring IT systems are not just up-to-date and secure but are also advancing the client’s business strategy in meaningful ways.
What do Client Technology Advisors do? They work closely with Client Success Managers and the client Strategy group to ensure each client gets the best service, support, and experience possible. This role interacts with all XPERTECHS teams to provide support, insight and understanding of client technology.
A Comprehensive Skill Set
Client Technology Advisors require a unique mix of technical expertise and interpersonal skills. They must be well-versed in diverse technologies and their integrations while excelling in communication, capable of engaging with stakeholders across various levels — from talking business strategy with CEOs, to explaining the intricacies of an IT network with a service desk technician.
Onboarding and Beyond
When XPERTECHS signs on a new client, the Client Success Team is in charge of the onboarding process. They scope out the client’s IT network and document it to prepare it for support. While they are doing this, they’re evaluating the IT environment for risks that need to be addressed and for opportunities for improvement.
The interactions that the Client Technology Advisor and Client Success Team has with the client during onboarding also sets the tone for the relationship. As they get to know the network, they’re asking questions to help them understand the client’s operations at the same time.
Everything they learn is documented so that it can be shared with the team and the Client Technology Advisor builds their understanding of how the client operates and serve their customers.
Engaging Client Interactions
Beyond initial engagements, Client Technology Advisors hold regular meetings with clients, developing technology roadmaps in conjunction with XPERTECHS vCIOs. These interactions are crucial for keeping a pulse on the client’s business, preempting issues, and capitalizing on opportunities to leverage technology strategically.
When they meet with clients, they’re not only discussing the status of current projects and new things that are coming up, but they continue to ask questions about how things are going at client companies. These questions open up conversations that enable XPERTECHS to identify and address issues before they turn into big problems, or opportunities to enable better utilization of technology.
The ability to ask the right questions stems from the Client Technology Advisors thorough understanding of technology paired with a curious mind. They are adept at gathering critical information, organizing it, and sharing their insights with both the client and XPERTECHS teams.

Proactive Client Engagements: Ensure clients are consistently informed and supported, emphasizing open communication. Through biweekly or monthly meetings, they educate clients on new standards and technologies, reinforcing the partnership.
