Microsoft Recalling Surface Pro Power Chargers
ATTENTION all Microsoft Surface Pro users. Microsoft is recalling chargers for the Surface Pro, Surface Pro 2, and Surface Pro 3 after reported issues with the AC power cords.
“As a result of damage caused by AC power cords being wound too tightly, twisted or pinched over an extended period of time, a very small proportion of Surface Pro customers have reported issues with their AC power cord. We will be releasing details of how customers can obtain a free replacement cable shortly,” a Microsoft spokesperson told Mashable, in regards to the voluntary recall.
Microsoft recommends that customers can protect their device by preventing cords from being pinched or sharply bent, specifically where the adapter connects to the power out, the device, and the power supply unit.
